CDP East Africa was established as a joint venture of CDP and Tanzanian consultants. It is now an independent Tanzanian company, affiliated with CDP in the Netherlands. Through its network CDP East Africa is able to draw from a wide range of experienced experts throughout East Africa. Its linkage with CDP in the Netherlands provides easy access to a choice of international experts in case local expertise is not available.

CDP East Africa was founded in 2000 and is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It is committed to contribute to the socio-economic development and poverty alleviation in East Africa through provision of quality consultancy services to governments, private sector organisations and other agencies interested in the development of the region.
